In India in some other parts of the world too, Love is punished in many cases like honour killings, killings because of loving someone from different caste or religion or punishing someone because the parents don’t want a love marriage or any such relationship. Is loving someone such a crime that sometimes people have to pay the cost with their lives? And if so, then why hate goes unpunished?
If two people love each other then where is the crime in it? Or why our society cannot bear the sight of someone being happy. Relationships are important for anyone and everyone out there and not always the people who are close don’t mind the relationships but because of this narrow minded society and the people in it, sometimes even if they want to, they cannot raise their voices against the wrong as we call ourselves very cultural, though I cannot see where our culture says that kill those people who are happy and have the guts to love someone. On the other hand, where there is so much hatred around, we are fine with it, there is no problem. Even sometimes we enjoy the fruits of hatred too, but there is not a single punishment for those things.
When someone loves someone, there are no rule books that he or she has to follow; it’s only their hearts they need to follow. But the people who surround us, puts everything on a balancing machine and then balance it with things like racism, religion and caste.
The world needs love not hatred but we give it the opposite and want it to be fair with us. Stop hating or else that time is not too far when hatred will finish the world off.
