WHAT IS PSYCHOLOGY?
Psychology seeks to understand and explain thoughts, emotions, feeling and behavior of the candidate. The psychology test has been so scientifically designed to study the mental function of the candidate.
But, the question arises- what is the need to study the psychology, if it is so natural?
As we all know that ‘Practice makes a man perfect’. For cracking any written exam, it is always advisable to thoroughly go through the syllabus as it is pre-determined that either the examiner will question from the similar concept or will twist the question from the same concept. But the chapter of psychology is totally different as in this a candidate has to revolve around the mindset which is mandatory in the officers of Indian Armed Forces. So, a candidate must be true and honest to himself for performing easily in the psychology test. In the short time constraint a candidate cannot pretend. He goes under extreme pressure and is unable to hide his true feelings. The psychologists could easily assess the actual personality of a candidate through his responses. The true personality of a candidate emerges since it is said that under extreme pressure a person always speaks truth.
