For the male side of society, the female side has always remained a source of confusion but that doesn’t stops them from fantasizing what it’d be actually like to be a female. Historically, it has been a subject that generated hot debates which further led to rumors which even led to creation of many myths, myths in which even you probably believe in. so without further ado here are popularly believed in myths
1. A person (probably a doctor) can tell if a woman is virgin.
This is half correct as a doctor can only tell if a woman’s hymen is broken which can be a result of many sort of activities other than an intercourse, like cycling or exercising. It might come as a shock but some women are even born without one!
2. Women always fake an orgasm.
That’s completely false. This myth may have its sources from the times when women may have complained that they don’t have an orgasm. But there are women who have one (almost 1 in 3 women have a successful orgasm with their partners). This only reveals that it’s rare but still possible!
3. They inherently make better parents.
Well a recent study revealed that both males and females can become good parents. It all depends on their attitudes and the time they give to their children. Why this myth is present can be easily understood as whenever you get shocked or something like that you shout “mummy†possibly because your father is busy earning a living and hence mother is mostly, if not the only source with whom you identify with.
4. Women can’t get pregnant during their period.
If you remember your biology lessons of class 10th then you’ll understand why this myth is present as periods are a result of an unsuccessful fertilization or no fertilization at all inside a female’s uterus which means that no pregnancy but hold your horses as it is still possible in special cases with women having a menstrual cycle that varies from a normal one.
5. Women can’t lead
Here’s something to actually think about. This according to me is so untrue that people who believe in this should get a slap on their faces with a book filled with names of female leaders. And come-on we even live in a country that has been under female leadership for nearly 21 years, thanks to the tenure of our former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and President Pratibha Patil.
