AFTERLIFE

As sun rises, life starts
In between it descends
And when sun sets, life comes to an end.

“Death –Death is not opposite of life, but part of life.”
We are so afraid of death. We all know that we are powerless in overcoming or preventing death. We all have to die some or other day. We need to accept that life will surely come to an end.

Happiness is having someone by your side. Meaningful relationship is crucial for happiness. Making bond is important in our life to feel connected. When you have that bond with someone you love, that's the best thing anyone can have. But when we are separated from them by nature, dealing with that loss is hard for us.  When we lose someone we love, our universe breaks, our mind goes out of control. We get stuck on the past memories. We never care to see our future. We don't live in present. We get bounded with those memories. It’s difficult to forget someone. It takes a lot of time to forget that loss. But eventually we have to move on. Moving on is hard because we are so addicted to those memories.
Is there an afterlife? Everything is made up of energy in this world. We all are made up of energies and energy can never get lost. So yes, there is. We need to accept and understand that after death, they just transform in some other form of energy. They must not be with us in this materialistic world. They may not be in form of human being. But, they are part of universe. I don't know how, but they are. They can be in any form, be it the morning breeze, the trees, the sun, the leaves. They are with us, wherever we go. They remain in our hearts. We need to understand that they are still with us. Life is a constant change. We have to accept changes. Knowing that the person is not gone but rather changed into something that we have no idea about, makes our life easier than before. This makes it easier to accept things and move on. We know that nothing can come back. We can’t undo anything that happens in our life. Without accepting the change, we make it harder for ourselves to move on. We need to find peace within us. So, accepting the changes are best for us.

"Normally we do not like to think about death. We would rather think about life. Why reflect on death? When you start preparing for death you soon realize that you must look into your life ... now ... and come to face the truth of yourself. Death is like a mirror in which the true meaning of life is reflected." - Sogyal Rinpoche
