Wikipedia terms Tejas as a class of trains launched in India in 2016, equipped with world class facilities which are the first for the Indian Railway. Apart from the luxuries involved Railway Ministry recently announced that Passengers will have to pay 20-30% more than existing fares of premier Shatabdi Express to travel by Tejas, which will provide facilities equivalent to Airlines by providing attendants, LCD screens on comfortably designed seats with a colour scheme for compartments.
There will be water level indicators in bio-vaccum toilets, sensorized taps and hand driers. It'll also have integrated Braille displays including executive class and chair cars.
The train is introduced for Delhi-Lucknow railway for a long day journey.
The Railway officials said since the services provided will be of high quality the fare, though not decided yet can be 20-30% more than that of Shatabdi!
Now the question arises is that in a country where people still travel by standing beside the door of trains the Railway Ministry instead of making travel cheaper for poor people is busy enhancing the comforts of those who can pay ample amount for travelling.
