I’m talking about the Kinnaur District, a mountainous area ranging in altitude from 2300 to 6800 metres, located in Himachal Pradesh which is one of the 12 districts that the state comprises of and it also touches the Tibetan border. You also may have heard about this place as it was recently made famous due to its air quality which is estimated to be the ‘cleanest air in India’. This fact doubles the reason for you to visit the place since ‘air’ is definitely the thing in which India is very poor at.
And apart from the air quality, you’ll get to see a great deal of beautiful sceneries which appear to be straight out of paintings! Moreover, the whole district is full of various tourist attractions which include adventure sports like, trekking, rock climbing and river rafting. While non-adventure activities like camping, sigh-seeing and a number of temples and monasteries are all what you need to refresh your senses. To top that all, Kinnaur is also the home for the famous and sacred Kinnaur Kailash parvat!
