DO YOU KNOW ABOUT THE WORLD’S STEEPEST STREET? IT WILL SPIN YOUR HEAD! READ THIS!

Tourists are flocking to the world's steepest street in the coolest little city of the south, Dunedin.

Popularly known as the 'Edinburgh of the South', Dunedin, New Zeland, is majorly inhabited by university students. Dunedin has the world's steepest street, Baldwin Street, and by steep, I mean really steep and has its place in the Guinness Book of Records. The pictures of the street are truly mind-boggling.

An Instagram craze has erupted in which tourists stand at a tilt in photographs to create optical illusions.

Most people take 10 minutes to climb the world’s steepest residential street. Since being listed in the Guinness Book of Records for its exhausting 1:3 gradient, it has enjoyed local interest. But now Dunedin is a stopping point for international cruise ships, the street has become the top tourist destination in New Zealand’s oldest city.

In the busy season between October and February, hundreds of tourists visit the street each day, starting at 6am. It has also become a hot spot for daredevil sports enthusiasts - who trike, bike and slide down the slope in anything with wheels.
