1. Ras Al-Hadd
This is one of the prime tourist spots in Oman and is famous for the 6000 to 13,000 turtles that nest here every year. Tourists also come here to watch the sunrise first before it does in the rest of the Arabian peninsula.
2. Nizwa Castle
It was built during the rule of Imam Sultan Bin Al-Ya'arubi in the 17th century, when Nizwa was the capital of Oman. The 150-foot circular central tower is awe-inspiring and the castle's false doors, wells, secret shafts and turrets only add to the mystique.
3. Al Fateh Grand Mosque, Manama
One of the largest mosques in the middle east, Al Fateh can house upto 7000 people. It was built in 1988, using marble glass and teak wood. The impressive fibre glass offers a great view at night.
4. The Ancient Tombs
Dating back to the Paleolithic era, these tombs are located in an area that was inhibited by ancient civilizations around 40,000 years ago. They are in western Yemen, in the Al- Mahwit area of Sanaa.
5. Al- Qahira Castle
This castle offers astounding panoramic views of the surrounding areas and draws tourist in huge numbers. It is situated in Taiz, which is a tiny, scenic mountain Village in southwest Yemen.
6. Arher Beach
The White sands and the impressive dunes of arher beach make it a natural wonder and the place is a must visit on a trip to Socotra Island. The crystal clear water of Arabian sea makes this place a favourite with visitors from across the world.
7. The Museum of Islamic Art
This museum in Doha houses an impressive collection of Arab, Persian and African art and offers a wonderful glimpse into the beautiful world of Islamic art. The creatively constructed structure is also a great example of modern architecture.
8. The Golden Mosque
The golden mosque in Doha is a fine example of the lavishness and wealth of Qatar, which is one of the rich countries according to its per capita income. The gilded tiles, traditional minarets and beautiful interiors make it worth a visit.
