You all must be wondering who is the girl cast opposite Varun Dhawan in the movie October, well we are here to tell you about the 20-year-old actor from Cardiff, the United Kingdom who is about to make her Bollywood debut after starring in a leading film.

Banita Sandhu or the October girl he landed the starring role in 'October' – which is described as a unique story about love.

The film is directed by Shoojit Sircar and the trailer has already amassed more than 21 million views on YouTube.
Banita was born and brought up in South Wales to Indian parents.

And after showing a passion for drama and the arts, Banita started acting from the early age of 11, she always dreamt of starring in her favourite soap which was ITV's Coronation Street.

To study English Literature Banita moved to London and was invited for the audition of TV ad for Vodafone in India which basically kick-started her career in the acting world.
After that, an ad for Wrigley’s followed and she got over 40 million views Banita now became known in India. During the filming of the commercial Shoojit Sircar decided that she would be the lucky one to play the lead in his forthcoming film as she fitted perfectly in the character that they were looking for.

Despite getting all the success Banita made a commitment to completing her education in the UK and thus she juggled her degree while she was filming in India. According to Banita, her parents are her support system, they wanted her to have a Plan B, but gave her, their full backing. She was lucky to have an amazing support from the teams in India and her tutors in the UK.

Banita said she was under a lot of pressure starring in the film against co-star Varun Dhawan who is a big name in Bollywood and also one of India's highest-paid celebrities.

October is released in cinemas worldwide on 13 April and the young actress Banita Sandhu is hoping for a successful film in Bollywood with Varun who according to her is a very bright actor and Varun tries new roles and challenges. Varun is also working on his film with Anushka Sharma titled Sui Dhaaga where Varun plays the role of a tailor named Mauji and Anushka portraying the role of an embroidery artisan named as Mamta. The film will hit theatres in September this year.
