Kapil Sharma, face of Indian Comedy has turned 37 today. He got stardom through his show ‘Comedy Nights With Kapil’. Then tried his luck in Bollywood and got featured in ‘Kis kisko pyaar Karun’ directed by Abbas Mustan and ‘Firangi’ directed by Rajeev Dhingra. He then also appeared on ‘Koffee with Karan’ episode. He is also ranked 18th by Forbes India in terms of incomes in 2017. Kapil was born in Amritsar in 1981. His journey started from ‘The Great Indian Show Laughter Challenge’ where he won the show and got 10 Lakh amount which he spent on his sister’s marriage until then Kapil was not financially stable thus was facing the hardships of life. His father Jeetendra Kumar Punj was a head constable in the Punjab Police while his mother Janak Rani is a housewife. His father was diagnosed with cancer in 1997 passed away in 2004. After Laughter Challenge, he participated in Sony's Comedy Circus and went on to win six seasons of the show. Later he hosted various shows like Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Season 6, Chhote Miyan, 60th Filmfare Awards in 2015 along with Karan Johar. He also appeared as a guest on Kaun Banega Crorepati- 8th season, Koffee With Karan. After the end of Comedy Night with Kapil on Colors tv, Kapil started his project ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ on Sony Tv. An argument between Kapil and Sunil Grover led Grover to leave the show which in turn resulted in criticism by the fans to Kapil. After few months, Kapil ended that show. And Recently his new show ‘Family Time With Kapil Sharma’ is aired on Sony Tv from 25th march 2018. Apart from all these, kapil is enthusiastic and being active is in his lifeblood. He promoted PETA campaign, adopted a homeless dog sxheuc, a retired police dog from Mumbai & was nominated for the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan by the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
