Women have always had to live up to the standards and norms which are prescribed by the society. It is the society that also decides the norms of beauty but one person who has proved these norms and standards wrong is famous comedian Bharti Singh. She is someone who has proved to be an inspiration to women all across the world.
Bharti Singh was born on 3rd July 1986 in Amritsar district of Punjab state. The comedian holds a masters degree in history and was also a gold medallist in pistol shooting where she played at national level but unfortunately had to give up her sports career due to the financial problems.
Bharti gained recognition after appearing in the season 4 of comedy reality show The Great Indian Laughter Challenge which was aired on STAR One. Since that time she has subsequently appeared in various reality shows like Comedy Circus Ke SuperStars, Comedy Circus Ka Jadoo, Jubilee Comedy Circus, Comedy Circus Ke Taansen, Comedy Circus Ka Naya Daur and so on.
In 2011 Bharti made her acting debut through the TV show named Pyaar Mein Twist. In the year 2012 she also participated in celebrity dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. She has also acted in films like Khiladi 786 co-starring Akshay Kumar, Asin and Mithun Chakraborty and in a Kannada movie titled Rangan Style, starring Pradeep, Kannika Tiwari and Sudeep.
While our society has always body shamed women who are “fat” but our very own Bharti has broken another stereotype norm which she even highlighted through her TV advertisement in the ad she has portrayed her to be beautiful, a compliment that many women are deprived of because of their weight and physical appearance.
She has always very sportingly taken names like moti, haathi and ladoo. Bharti Singh has come a long way in order to accept her own beauty. She didn’t let her body image make her have low self-esteem, instead she stood up and accepted hetself without waiting for anybody else to accept her.
Bharti has found true and lifelong support in her long time friend and now partner for life Haarsh Limachiyaa whom the famous comedian Bharti married with a grand bash at Marquis Beach Resort in North Goa last year.
Comedian Bharti Singh married television show writer Harsh in December, 2017 and now the couple is all set to announce a good news soon, but hey ! before you assume too much let us tell you that the lovely duo is all set to announce their new project soon.
