Test your eyesight with these optical illusions!!

1. The Hermann Grid

Found by Ludimar Hermann in 1870, in this optical illusion white lines cross over a big black square forming a grid. A tiny grey shadow appears wherever they intersect. But, as soon as you try to concentrate on the grey patch it disappears!

2. The Kanizsa Triangle

Found by Gaetano Kanizsa in 1976,see a triangle in the middle of the white triangle, the three sides of which appear to be crossing over the white lines. Well, your eyes are tricking your brain as no triangle actually exists! It’s only the way in which the shapes in the images are aligned, giving and impression of a triangle

3. The Frazer Spiral

Founded by James Fraser in 1908. In this image it appears as if there are these spiraling lines going down into infinity but if you move your fingers along any of these spiraling lines you’ll find out that these aren’t a spiral but a series of concentric circles!

4. The Zollner Illusion

Found by JFK Zollner in 1860, you’re seeing several long lines, each one of which is crossed over by many tiny lines and appear to be running in different angles with different distances between them but the truth is there is no deviation in the distance between the long lines meaning all the long lines are perfectly parallel to the other. You can even measure the distances between the lines with a ruler!

5. The Albert Einstein and Marilyn Monroe illusion

This optical illusion was proposed in 1994 and is recently been perfected by Aude Olive and Philippe G Schyns. This image may remind of Albert Einstein at first but a bit blurry one, but if you shrink it or move further from the screen you will be able to see a distorted image of Marilyn Monroe!
