Scriptwriter of 'The Kapil Sharma Show' arrested for murder.

Abhishek Singh alias Kera, who was associated with K9 production and wrote scripts for 'The Kapil Sharma Show', was arrested by the UP Special Task Force (STF) on Wednesday for his alleged involvement in a shootout.
Kera had been on the run for the past seven years. He is the main accused for a shootout in Azamagrah which injured three people and led to the death of two in October 2009.

Kera was living as Rohit Singh in Mumbai and carried a cash reward of Rs 30,000 for his crime. The police were tipped by an informer who had Abhishek's photograph and noticed stark similarities in features of Abhishek and Andheri resident Rohit.

Additional superintendent of STF Arvind Chaturvedi along with team laid a trap and nabbed Abhishek on Thursday.

Part of the showbiz, ever since he landed in Mumbai, Kera did many successful comedy shows, including The Great Indian Comedy Show on Sab TV. He also gave auditions for small parts in Bollywood films and television serials.

"Intelligence gathering revealed that he (Abhishek) had acted in as many as nine episodes of Great Indian Family Drama apart from another serial titled Code Red which are available on YouTube," said additional SP STF Arvind Chaturvedi, who led the operation.
