Kapil Sharma takes on PM Modi over Twitter

The star comedian, Kapil Sharma known for his impeccable sense of humour and spreading happiness through his comic skills took to twitter on Friday questioning Prime Minister Narendra Modi about ‘Acche Din’. And what compelled him to take this step was the fact that he was asked for a bribe for building his new office. Yes! he was asked to pay Rs 5 lakhs as bribe by a BMC (Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation) official to get his new office built.

He tweeted:

“I am paying 15 cr income tax from last 5 year n still i have to pay 5 lacs bribe to BMC office for making my office @narendramodi (sic),” and added, “Yeh hain aapke achhe din ? @narendramodi (sic).”

Later, the chief of the BMC’s vigilance department, Manohar Pawar, asked Sharma to reveal the name of the official who demanded bribe in order to enable BMC to take strict action. Also,in his response to Sharma’s tweet later, Fadnavis said: “Kapilbhai please provide all information. Have directed MC, BMC to take strictest action. We will not spare the culprit.”

Interestingly, Sharma had expressed support for Modi in past and was one of those nominated for the promotion of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan campaign and  had once expressed his desire to have the PM on his show as a guest.
