The IPL 2018 is coming. The auction has been over and eight franchisees sat together to make a better squad for the coming season. It is believed to be a very rich and thrilling season this year. The costliest buy was the English allrounder Ben Stokes who joined Rajasthan Royals for £1.4m. Jaydev Unadkat made the costliest Indian player in the auction. After the auction, these are the squad results:
1. Rajasthan Royals
Ben Stokes (£1.4m) peaked the newspaper headlines. While Josh Butler and also joined the Royals for £793,200.
2. Royal Challengers
Bangalore RCB’s most expensive acquisition at the auction was Chris Woakes with £821,500.
3. Kings XI Punjab
Chris Gayle is the star of IPL and he was paid a fee of £220,200. Gayle set to rock the IPl yet again.
4. Kolkata Knight Riders
Chris Lynn and Mitchell Starc from Australia were KKR’s biggest signings at the 2018 auction. Their fees were £1,059,000 and £1,036,000 accordingly.
5. Chennai Super Kings
Mark Wood from England and Sam Billings were the biggest signings for CSK ranging £165,500 and £110,100 on the auction day two.
6. Delhi Daredevils
Delhi Daredevils signed Jason Roy at £166,500 and he is yet to prove what he brings to the team.
7. Sunrises Hyderabad
The Sunrisers had signed Chris Jordan and this will be his third IPL season. Rashid Khan has also been signed at £992,200.
8. Mumbai Indians
The summer of Pat Cummins has been a brilliant one. He is being signed by Mumbai Indians for the same purpose at £595,000.
