Bollywood movies that were edited or CENSORED

The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) is Bollywood's censor board whose only job is to ban films and delete scenes which they believe are inappropriate for the audience. The latest 'Udta Punjab' controversy proves that they take their job way too seriously. We bring you 10 movies that had to suffer in one way or the other because of the censor board Or because someone somewhere got offended by the movie or its scenes.

1) The censor board blurred out one of the scenes in QUEEN where kangana ranaut is holding a bra in her hand.
2) JODHA AKBAR faced objection by the rajput community, stating that Jodha bai was not Akbar's wife. The movie was later released after the makers sorted out the matter with the censor board and the Rajput community.
3) DILWALE was banned in MP and Rajasthan after Shah Rukh Khan's intolerance remark.
4) The love making scene between John Abraham and Kangana Ranaut in SHOOTOUT AT WADALA was abruptly edited by the censor board.
5) A scene from HAIDER was edited by the censor board because it showed a bare back.
6) The word 'virgin' was removed from one of the dialogues in FINDING FANNY in order to receive a U/A certificate.
7) KAMINEY was given an 'A' certificate and the line 'teli ka tail' in the song 'dhan te nan' was muted in the final premiere of the movie because the line was objected by the Teli community.
8) MADRAS CAFE was banned in many southern Indian states because of its depiction of Tamil rebels in the movie.
9) Despite being rated 'A', the bedroom scene between Randeep Hooda and Mahie Gill in SAHIB, BIWI AUR GANGSTER was diluted by the censor board.
10) ISHQIYA wasn't allowed to mention 'Gorakhpur's' name, despite the movie being set in city because it was presumed that it will bring a 'bad name' to Gorakhpur.

The list is long and endless where scenes were cut down, changed or removed just because either the censor board didn't aporove of them or because someone somewhere got offended by them. Seems like Indians are good at only one thing... TAKING OFFENSE.
