Tobacco is taking a lot of lives every day. Irrespective of the warning on the pack, people love to smoke. The Chief Executive Officer of Philips Morris International has told in an BBC interview that they soon could stop selling cigarettes.
"I believe there will come a moment in time where I would say we have sufficient adoption of these alternative products ... to start envisaging, together with governments, a phase-out period for cigarettes. I hope this time will come soon," Andre Calantzopoulos said in an interview on BBC Radio.
The reason behind ceasing cigarette selling is that it has launched an alternative product called IQOS which is already on sale in different countries. They heat tobacco enough to produce vapor without actually burning tobacco. IQOS causes much less harm compared to cigarettes. Hope all the smokers gets adapted to this kind of products soon and make their lives harmless.
