Dr Viveka Kumar is a senior consultant interventional cardiologist in Delhi. He is Senior Director of Cath Lab at Max super speciality hospital in Saket. Globally known for conducting extensive research in Interventional cardiology and electrophysiology, he has been saving lives for 25 years.

Dr Viveka is concerned with carrying out internal medicine that ensures the proper functioning of the heart. Being a cardiologist, he is proficient in dealing with the Diagnosis and treatment of Congenital Heart Defects, Coronary Artery Disease, Electrophysiology, Valvular Herat Diseases and Heart failures. Subspecialties of Cardiology field incorporates Cardiac Electrophysiology, Echocardiography, Interventional Cardiology and Nuclear Cardiology.

Along with Performing Angiography, TAVI, Angioplasty, Multivessel Angioplasty, Leadless Pacemaking and Subcutaneous ICD, he has considerable teaching experience too. While pursuing his MD course, he taught undergraduate students between 1991- 1994. Later while pursuing his DM, he taught undergraduate as well as postgraduate medical students. From 1999-2003, he taught postgraduate DNB cardiology students and nurses as well. He even supervised clinical research studies. Currently, he has been a co-guide for the DNB Cardiology dissertations in 5 theses.

He has a speciality in carrying out complex angioplasties that include multivessel, bifurcation and left main angioplasties with Rota Ablation, IABP, IVUS, FFR and IMPELLA devices. Globally renowned for performing more than 7500 angioplasties, he has a great vision for eradicating heart diseases in India.
