The First Eye Surgeons Without PHD- ROBO Surgeons.

Eyes are the sense organs that can sense the beauty of anything like nature, arts etc. Being blind is the horrible curse. We may witness a world with no blind people with these robotic surgeries. Eager to know more, go ahead.

A first robotic eye surgery was done in U.K at John Radcliffe hospital in Oxford by Professor Robert Maclaren on the patient William Beaver, 70 years old, an associate priest at St Mary the virgin church in Oxford. The surgery was a great success and the priest was delighted for getting back his proper eye sight. Maclaren expressed his joy on the success of the surgery. He stated that it is possible in future to perform Retina Gene therapy with these Robots. The actual importance of Robots come in their precise handling of the operation on 100 th of a millimeter membrane. The lasers and scanners which at present are limited to microscopic problems on which human hand can perform but the things we see are beyond the physiological limit of what the human hand can operate on. The first trial of cutting the very thin membrane from retina without damaging it is going to be trialed on 12 patients. If it gets success as of the previous one then these Robo surgeons will be introduced in Retina Gene Therapy.

These Robots are controlled by the surgeons with a joystick and touch screen monitoring through operating microscope. Hope eye problems are going to obsolete soon with the advancement of robots in the eye surgeries.
