Myth: Diabetics can't have alcoholic drinks at all.

Fact: Diabetics are advised to have alcohol only in moderation and should have it only while eating a healthy, balanced diet and keeping active.


Myth: Diabetics can't eat chocolates or sweets.

Fact: Diabetics can have desserts, but in small portions. Even people without diabetes should never have empty, high calorie desserts in large quantities.

 


Myth: Diabetics shouldn't be eating out.

Fact: A diabetic can eat out as long as they follow their healthy diet plan and are aware about all that they are eating.

 

Myth: Diabetics are required to lose weight fast.

Fact: Obesity and diabetes are two sides of the same coin. Obese people are advised to lose about three kgs per month. However, sudden weight loss through crash diets is not advisable.
