Monsoon season demands extra attention and care for your hair. From hair wash routine to shampoo, oil, comb, all the things have to be looked after and taken care of.
In the monsoon, there is a lot of humidity and it can get very wet and windy sometimes. All these factors contribute in tangling your hair. Hence it would be appropriate to use a wide toothed comb which is mainly used to detangling. It is also good to use it as a conditioning comb. When it comes to oil, there are a lot of them in the market that can help you with your hair this monsoon. One must remember to keep oiling their hair (atleast once a week) with very little oil, massaging your hair lightly with the tips of your fingers and using a gentle shampoo, keeping in mind the quality of your hair.
To keep your hair healthy and strong, one should use a shampoo and a conditioner that strengthens the hair from the root to the tip. One must try to keep their hair and scalp clean in the monsoon and try avoiding hair from getting wet in the rain, as the pollutants in the rain may weaken the shaft bonds, making your hair dull and limp. It is also to be kept in mind that hair should be washed 2-3 times a week and not regularly.
Diet also plays a very important role in hair care as it helps in protecting the hair and also strengthening the hair follicles. One should include things like eggs which are high in iron and protein, walnuts which are high in vitamin E, omega-3 and fatty acids. Curd is high in vitamin D and helps in strengthening hair follicles. Fish and spinach should also be eaten as they are rich in protein and iron resp. One should also try to keep dandruff, oily scalp and hair fall away during monsoon. For all the problems, you can use particular shampoos and conditioners and protect your hair from damage caused in this weather.
