Diet Mistakes Every Walker Should Avoid

Researchers state that walking continuously for one hour burns 500 calories which is pretty much the number a person seeking fat deduction much follow. But there are many walkers who give up walking since they don’t see any reduction in their body fat at all.

Nevertheless, walking is considered one of the best natural ways to keep your heart healthy, boost your creativity, keep your energy juices flowing and of course it helps in reducing weight. But there are certain reasons why people don’t see a change in their body and give up walking; the reasons which every walker should avoid are as stated below:

1. Don’t deduct fat completely from your diet.

Reducing the intake of fat to zero appears as a good idea which many follow in a bid to lose weight quickly. While it only appears to be helping, many essential fats like the omega 3s which are considered as fuel cells are ignored as well. This further leads to carb-cravings hence, ending up with you having a meal full of carbohydrates.

2. Never skip a meal.

Giving up meals is another wrong idea which many follow since they think that the less they eat the faster they reduce weight, which is a blunder. Skipping meals turns your metabolism to become sluggish which further stops your body from converting food into energy, storing them as fat instead. Again this method boomerangs as you don’t reduce, rather increase your fat. For extra care walkers should have 3-6 meals a day.

3. Stay hydrated.

A wise advice, take a water-bottle with you whenever you go out for a walk. Brisk walking continuously makes you feel dehydrated and if you don’t have water, you’ll probably confuse your thirst with hunger hence, adding up calories if you don’t drink water at the first place.

4. Don’t reward yourself every now and then.

Just because you walked for an hour and burned 500 calories doesn’t means that you can have cupcake or a slice of pizza because these rewards, small as they appear, equal a great deal of calories and sometimes even more than the number you just burned today!
