Believe, not in these 5 myths, but in a nutritious diet!

As soon as our lifestyles are getting sedentary and health prone to illnesses of the present, it is a must for all of us to strive and survive on a balanced nutritious diet which keeps us healthy enough to be immune to not-at-all-good bacterias and viruses.

Yet here are some diet myths which need to be resolved so that you never stumble upon a healthy living:

Myth 1. Only fishes provide for omega-3 fats.
The omega-3 fats have many health benefits, including brain development in infants and improved heart health in adults. It is said that seafoods solely provide for EPA and DHA -two important omega-3 fatty acids. However, walnuts, flaxseed, canola oil, soybeans and some other plant foods offer ALA, a third omega-3 fatty acid and human bou needs all three types of omega-3 fats.

Myth 2. Brown bread is better than white bread.
Rather brown breads are added with edible colours and coffee to add brownish colour to it and they have the same maida and starch content in them.
Thus, it's better to shop for a '100% whole wheat bread' than any other choice.

Myth 3. Nutrition bars are good for health.
Well that's never true. Rather these tall claims are laid flat by the fact that many artificial sweeteners and colours and preservatives are added to it. Don't consume them, they are synthetic for your health.

Myth 4. Eggs should be avoided
But eggs are more good for health as they rule out the effect of cholesterol levels in your body. Heart diseases are caused by high cholesterol but eggs are rich in protein, as shown by studies. Thus, they play no role in adding to your woes.

Myth 5. Eating chocolate decreases sadness
It's better to chalk out whites from the black of your moods than depend on sweet foods to increase pleasure hormones in your body. Desserts do nothing but to have a not-so-effective psychological effect.
