6 Habits To Be Avoided After Eating

Many times our parents, friends or grandparents tell us that after having a meal, we should not take a bath or sleep or exercise because it's unhealthy. But we don’t believe them or follow it, assuming that they are just beliefs. But now I have got some scientific reasons behind them and it is scientifically proved that these habits are harmful to our health.  So let's see what all habits should be avoided, after eating.

1) Fruits: They are the healthiest but unhealthiest after any meal. After having a meal, the stomach has food which it needs to digest but if at that time we eat fruit, it will be a burden. Also staying in the stomach for a long time, fruit can decay further releasing gasses and then toxins. Mainly fruit after 2-3 hours of meals is recommendable.

2) Sleeping:  As the amount of blood largely focuses on gastrointestinal system decreasing the amount of blood in the brain significantly makes brain and other organs sleepy. But if we sleep, our brain goes into a state of inhibition, which stops digestive system as well. Thus food remains undigested, giving prey to bacteria which cause stomach infections.

3) Exercising: After exercise, if we exercise, the amount of blood is forced to allocate more to the muscles, resulting in insufficient blood to the digestive organ, which requires the blood to process the food. This cause stomach ache. Moreover, waist exercising should be avoided as it can lead to intestines entanglement and digestion delaying. This leads to weight gaining.

4) Having bath: The blood flow scatters which decreases blood flow to digestive system which is essential there to digest the meal. So you have to wait for an hour to take a bath.

5) Smoking: Blood supply increases for digestion and if you smoke at this time, a number of toxic substances seep into blood ten times faster than normal. Thus nicotine binds to the blood oxygen. If this condition lasts, it can disorder the function of the stomach, inhibit the activity of the pancreas and cause stomach ache, lung disease, heart disease.

6) Drinking tea: the tannin in the tea will combine with protein, vitamin B1, and iron in foods which slow down the digestion. Besides, the theocin and the tannin found in the tea inhibit the secretion of gastric juice and intestinal juice, indeed bad for the digestion. This is more harmful to anaemic people, iron deficient. Wait for an hour which you want to drink tea.
