Cosmetic products are a   splash of magic that makes the world so much prettier however  it comes with more than just a splash of money. Most of our favourite cosmetic products cost us a bomb. But, what if we told you, you can now make all of those fancy products at home, without spending a dime? Made from natural ingredients, these products promise to nourish and heal your skin at a fraction the cost of what commercial products cost.

1. Gentle Face Wipes

• 2 cups distilled water • 1 tablespoon organic coconut oil • 8 drops tea tree essential oil • 8 drops grapefruit essential oil • 3 drops vitamin e oil Directions 1. Cut up and old clean t-shirt towel into 2″x2″ square 2. Pour the coconut oil into a large bowl 3. Add the oils and vitamin e, stir 4. Add the distilled water and mix gently again 5. Place your squares in a bowl to soak up the solution and put the squares in a clean jar with a lid 6. Store the face wipes at room temperatures or in the refrigerator so that the pads are cool and refreshing.


2. Anti-Aging Face Cream

Turn back the hands of clock with this moisturizing anti-aging serum. Ingredients • ¼ cup almond oil • 2 tablespoons beeswax • ½ teaspoon vitamin E oil • 1 tablespoon shea butter • Essential oils of your choice – 10 drops Directions 1. Place all of the ingredients in a clean glass jar 2. Put about 4 inches of water in a pot and simmer 3. Place the jar with ingredients in water and allow them to melt – stir once in a while 4. Once it is melted, pour it in a glass jar and let it sit at room temperature until the cream hardens 5. Apply morning and night after washing 6. Store for 3 months in a cool location


3. Body Scrub

Ingredients • 1-1/2 cups Brown Sugar • ½ cup Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil • ⅛ cup local, raw Honey • ¼ teaspoon of desired scent options: Homemade Pure Vanilla Extract, Lemon Juice, Lavender essential oil, Fresh ground coffee, Cinnamon or Clove Instructions 1. In a large bowl, mix all ingredients together to form a paste. Add scent if you would like to, but it is not necessary. 2. Store body scrub in a sealed container in your shower or by the sink. No need to refrigerate. 3. To use, scoop some into the palm of your hand and massage skin as needed.


4. Lip Balm

Ingredients • ¼ c grated beeswax • 2 Tbsp cocoa butter • 3 Tbsp coconut oil • 1 Tbsp almond oil Instructions 1. Mix all ingredients together over low heat. Pour into small containers.


5. CUSTOM NAIL POLISH

Ingredients a bottle of clear nail polish and some eyeshadow varying according to the color of nail polish you want instructions • chop up your eye shadow into a fine powder • make a funnel (I used a rolled up page from a magazine) and pour in the powdered eye shadow! • add a small ball-bearing to the polish to help mix the color
