The Magic of Photography

We all click photographs. It is a trend now to click photographs and with the advancement in technology, the era of ‘selfie’ also started. The social media also gave a platform to everyone to flaunt their photography skills. But how many of us really love to click photographs? For how many it is there only passion?

Photography is an art which requires a ‘good eye’. A ‘good eye’ is an eye which can see the extraordinary in the ordinary, which can realise the value of something small and give it a whole new definition. It also requires some really neat skills to bring out the best of something through photography. It takes years of experience and a lot of patience just to click something extraordinary. But the person who really enjoys photography does not care about the time because for them, that one photograph can be priceless. There are many unnamed photographers who just wander around to find beautiful and unique photographs.

Photographs can also be very nostalgic as it can reverse the time of a person’s life. One photograph can become a starting point for thousands of memories and stories. Like for a parent, seeing the photograph of their newborn baby which was taken years ago and comparing it with  the present look of their child can bring the smile of joy, amazement and happiness to their faces. Just like that, seeing the photograph of lost someone can bring tears to our eyes. It doesn’t matter what the photograph was about, how old it is or how small or big it is every single photograph tells a story. Every photograph has emotion attached to it. Maybe that’s why; the camera is called the ‘Third Eye’.

So keep clicking photographs, not just to update a status on social media, but to capture something which is really important to you. It’s true we all cannot become Professional Photographers but it doesn’t matter because everyone sees the world differently and you can be a Photographer for your own self.
