The best things in life are free. This is undoubtedly true for there in one vital aspect of life that is nature and this is available in abundance, for each one of us are free. However we are so much involved with ourselves and in our worldly pursuits that we fail to appreciate it.
In nature, we have lovely spring, the cold snowy winters, the beautiful rainbows, the soft moonlit night, the breath taking sites of the rising and setting sun. While in the mountains, the beauty of hills, the wild flowers, the brooks and springs keep us spellbound. The roar of the mighty oceans on the seashores accompanied by the swaying of the palm trees and the salubrious climate are for everybody to enjoy. Nature has thus bestowed the best of its treasures to us in abundance.
Besides nature, there are other aspects of our lives which are invaluable like love, affection of our parents and near and dear one’s. These are essential for us and we know that they just cannot be bought. The love of parents for their children or love of a brother for his sister or vice-versa are lovely emotions. They make our lives worth living for these are sentiments which we just cannot do without.
The little words of encouragement or praises from our well-wishers or peers works wonders for us. They not only encourage us but also make us feel happy. They do not require any inducement from us, nor has one to fish with compliments but they by their spontaneity add flavor to our lives.
Our friends are another source of delight. Some of our best moments are spent in their company. “A true friend is like a diamond, precious and rare, false friends are like autumn leaves lying everywhereâ€. We have to be cautious in our choice of friends. Fair weathered friends are many and are with us in our good days. It is only in our bad days that our true friend stands by us. The friendship of such a true friend is priceless and is not a purchasable commodity.
We all know that “life is brief – a little hope, a little dream and then good nightâ€. In this short period we must therefore learn to enjoy life, for there are numerous good facets of life which are only for us free of cost. Only we have to appreciate and enjoy them.
