Have you ever imagined that ginger which is edible in foods can also be used for a good texture of skin and for a shiny flakes-free hair. Yes, if you use it as a ginger tea.
Here are some types of tea that will not only promote your health but also leave your skin glowing and hair strong and silky.
1. Green tea: If you drink a cup of it in morning, it will work good for weight loss, but it also replenishes dead skin cells.
For your skin: EGCG (epigallocatechin gallate) in the green tea reactivates your dying skin cells. It also protects your skin from the harmful UV rays of the sun, leaving a lasting glow to your skin. It contains antioxidants, which help rejuvenate the skin.
Soak green tea leaves in hot water for half an hour. Cool, strain and use the liquid to tone your skin. Green tea bags can be dipped in water and applied over eyelids like eye pads for instant cooling and relaxation. They help reduce the puffiness around your eyes and add brightness.
2. Ginger tea: Known for its anti-inflammatory properties, ginger helps against acne. While it's exceptional antiseptic nature, keeps your skin clean and blemish-free.
It works wonders for hair. It increases much needed blood circulation in scalp and encourages hair growth.
To get rid of dandruff, rinse your hair with ginger tea at least once a week.
Ginger tea can also be used as an exfoliator for detoxification of skin when you use it as a face mask.
For your hair: This tea may also be used as a hair rinse, as the tannin in the tea helps to add lustre to your hair. Boil used tea leaves again in enough water. After boiling, cool and strain the water. Then add lemon juice to it and use this as a last rinse after shampoo. It helps in reducing dandruff and also stimulates hair growth.
3. Chamomile: Chamomile tea is greatly helpful for streaking your hair in a golden flush.
Dip two chamomile tea bags in two cups of hot water for 5-10 minutes. Then add two tsps of lemon juice to the mixture. Use this as a final rinse on your hair after using a normal shampoo and conditioner. Do not rinse it out to bring about that natural brown out in the hair.
4. Lavender tea: Lavender is widely popular for its soothing properties but do you know that lavender tea is helpful in curing various skin conditions like cuts and wounds etc.
And if you are suffering from hair loss, rinse once a week with Lavender tea (not sweetened), you may notice a lasting effect.
5. Lemongrass tea: Lemongrass can not only be used for cleansing out toxins from the body but also if lemongrass tea applied on face, it helps one get rid of blemishes and acne.
Further, boil a cup of lemongrass tea and after cooling it down, apply it with cotton on your face to lighten your scars and pimples.
