Cannibalism is the practice of eating Human Flesh. This earliest evidence of Cannibalism comes from Spain. Cannibalism persisted in West and Central Africa, the Pacific Islands, Australia, Sumatra, North and South America even in modern times.

In some places they consider human flesh as similar to meat of any other animal. In Africa, they believed that eating organs of a particular person could pass his strengths to the person who has eaten his flesh. In Central America, group of people thought to have sacrificed prisoners of war to their gods and then eaten their flesh themselves. In some places they used to eat the flesh of their deceased as symbol of respect to them.

Even now Cannibalism is not completely vanished it still exists in some places. In places like china they eat foetus soup which is also a practice of Cannibalism.
