It is very common to hear the term “Ladies first” in our day on day life. In  your neighbourhood , offices , public transport and even at your home we come across these words. Even I personally use these particular term in my life too, I strongly feel it as a rule everyone must obey.

Men sees  it as a perfect channel to portray themselves as a perfect Gentleman in front of their opposite sex. And also it manages to impress most of the ladies.They feel good to see her man being totally nice to her.

This impressive rule came into existence due to various relatable stories. In the medieval period, it is said that when cave dwellers come across ferocious noise , they would send the ladies first in order to protect her so that being a man they could attack wild animals from behind.

And also during medieval knight , men would throw their coat into a puddle of mud to allow a women  pass through safely. So it’s basically to protect  women from danger.

Another relatable story from Italy puts a twist into gentleman concept , there were two lovers who decides to get married , when they approach their family , they refuse due to social circumstances. So the lovers decides to end their life by throwing themselves into the sea. The boy decides to go first as he wasn’t ready to see her girl drowning , he jumps. But the sad part is that the girl decides not to jump and returns back home. True though , it shows the cunning attitude of men ( wink ).

But ladies , don’t get carried away I believe that you are aware of the current joke on “ladies first”.(wink!)
