How to deal with everyday work stress?

The best thing you can do about something that's beyond your grasp is relax and surrender. If you really can't do anything, then at least stop directing all this worry, stress and negative emotions towards your problem. Otherwise this will render you incapable of doing anything else.

Accepting criticism positively can relieve stress. When you get feedback from your boss, don't get frustrated or upset or feel insulted. Instead see what you can do to improve yourself.


Stress occurs when there's a lot to do in very little time. What you can do is write down a list of all the important and urgent things that you need to get done. This will be your first step towards alleviating a lot of stress.


Don't worry all day and give yourself a time and place to think about your personal challenges and source of stress. This way you'll be able to think about solutions and ways to cope better rather than spending 24/7 worrying.


When your stress causes you to react in anger and frustration and you end up venting out your emotions on others, then you need to work towards the problem that is causing you all that stress and tension. The only way to end stress is by working towards the source of stress and not ignoring it.
