There is no substitute for hard work,” was a popular slogan at the time when Indira Gandhi was our Prime Minister.
If we want to be achievers, and wish to reach a goal, there can be no let up in our effort. India’s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, left these lines scribbled on a piece of paper the night before he died :
“ The woods are lovely, dark and deep, But I have promises to keep And miles to go before I sleep .”
The ‘lovely, dark and deep woods’ stood for the recreation and relaxation. He would have loved to have had them but he refused to give in to temptation, for his goal in not achieved till now. People call hard workers a Genius but genius is one percent inspiration and ninety nine percent perspiration means hard work to achieve anything, said Thomas Alva Edison.
A person is advised to watch an ant as it works with one goal in mind. As we observe the universe, life and nature constantly changing, we realize that God is constantly at work and we, made in his image, must imitate him. So work hard and never worry about the outcome because the geniuses develop through hard work. And that will definitly lead to success.
