Ask yourself that how do you feel when sometimes you want the other person to listen you but he/she ignores and doesn’t pay any attention?
The other person speaks more rather than listening and neglects what you say, when he shows restlessness and attitude. He is physically there but mentally something else is going on in his head. All these things show that the other person is either not interested to listen you and your talks or he lacks discipline. This thing in return makes the person who is speaking feel neglected, belittled, demotivated and ignored which is not correct.
In order to learn as much as you can and do your best today it is very important to be a good listener. The person who calmly listens what he is taught or told is the one to grasp the things more easily and grow faster and better by each passing day. It is very easy to cram up the things written in the books and novels but a person develops most of the moral values by listening and observing the surroundings and what he is being taught. Good listeners are always appreciated as it not only leads to the growth of the person but also makes the other person speaking feel pleased, appreciated, worthwhile and inspired.
The way you listen to what another person is saying shows how much disciplined you are in your life and what kind of personality you have. So in order to be wise we all first need to be good listeners to learn and grow better with good intellect as well as moral values.
