5 THINGS YOU MAY RELATE TO IF YOU HAVE A ROOMMATE

There is no end to aspirations. All of us aspire to study in a good college but a few can make it. Now, usually good colleges are far away from your hometown. And from here onwards, the actual journey of your life starts. The first and the foremost thing is to find an accommodation at that bizarre place.

Now, you have successfully found an accommodation for you and who is your roommate, is still a suspense. Actually, it’s like doing an arranged marriage as you don’t know about your roommate and you have no option but to share the room with him.

Roommate is that person with whom you share a piece of your life, whether you like it or not. This is a person who sleeps near to you and shares a space for atleast an entire semester or a complete year.

Here are the 5 things you may relate to if you have a roommate:

1. He has a Girlfriend and you are Single

Now, if your roommate has a girlfriend. You will surely curse yourself on being single. Usually, he talks late at night with his sweetheart. Though, he uses a very soft but you can hear that easily. At that very moment, those sexual talks generate that excitement in you which can not be explained but we can feel it as men will be men.

2. He is very Studious

Generally, we are of the opinion that after getting into the college, we won’t have to shoulder the burden of studies. We start living our life, the way we want to. No burden of studies, no rules and regulations and with this attitude we feel like the most coolest person on this earth. But when you find your roommate too studious, you start relating yourself to Darsheel Safari of “Taare Zameen Par”. But at the time of result, even if your roommate has scored 90%, he would be in grief and pain. But you will be on the cloud nine even after getting a perfect 70.

3. Clashing of Schedules

Now, this is the most common problem to be faced by the roommates. The college hours are similar, the time of getting up in the morning is similar and even the time of attending the nature’s call is also similar. You don’t desire to get a similar kind of schedule as that of your roommate but it happens, you can’t avoid it. This leads to early morning fights, and the Darwin theory of “Survival of the fittest” applies here.

4. He is a Mama’s Boy and goes home every week

A lot of times, your roommate gives the complete day report to his mother and complains his parents even on small issues. He pays a visit to his home every weekend. It’s really an amazing experience. Those two days, mainly two nights you feel like the king of the world. You do what you want to do. There is no one to keep an eye on you. It’s a complete enjoyment.

5. He is a typical Miser

This may offend you if you find your roommate has a “quality” of miserliness. It’s difficult to convince such people to have dinner at a restaurant. If by chance, he gets ready to go out for a dinner then you might witness their thrift when you desire to order something but your counterpart may resist because he is a typical miser. If he has decided to spend, say Rs.100 then no one can force them to have even a cup of Ice cream after the dinner.
