Through this instrument, the pilot can easily assess the speed of an aircraft per hour. In Airspeed Indicator, the needle detects the speed of an aircraft which is usually measured (and indicated) in knots (nautical miles per hour). The needle rotates clockwise and the speed indicated is known as I.A.S (Indian Air Speed).
