Bollywood diva Sridevi passed away in Dubai due to Cardiac arrest at the age of 54!

On Saturday midnight all of the sudden twitter filled with grief pain and shock over the dreadful news started spreading on social media that Bollywood legend and an actor par excellence, Sridevi is no more. Many industry artists tweet the news which blown away entire nation and filled nation with silence. As per their tweets, lovely evergreen actress, Sridevi passes away with a massive cardiac arrest at a hotel in Dubai.

 

People started hoping it for those nasty rumours doing the rounds. But later it confirmed that Bollywood's astonishing MOM is passed away. She was with her husband Boney Kapoor and her younger daughter Khushi to attend a wedding ceremony of Mohit Marwah. Few days before many Bollywood stars including Sonam Kapoor, Karan Johar, Anil Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor, attended the grand wedding of actor Mohit Marwah. Mohit is the elder son of Boney, Anil and Sanjay Kapoor’s sister Reena. Sridevi along with her family was part of the wedding except for her elder daughter Janhvi who couldn’t be in Dubai due to her shooting schedule.

 

Sridevi Kapoor (born Shree Amma Yanger Ayyapan) was an actress and film producer. She worked in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada films.  She had started her career as a child artist and grew up to be one of the most popular actresses of Indian cinema. She regarded as the First Female Superstar of Bollywood.


Sridevi had won 6 Filmfare awards had been nominated ten times. In 2013, the Government of India awarded her the Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian honour. She was last seen in 2017 film MOM. She worked with great actors like Rajnikanth, Anil Kapoor,  Kamal Haasan,  Jeetendra and won hearts of millions with her films like Chandni, Lamhe, Mr India, Nagina and more. She voted as 'India's Greatest Actress in 100 Years' poll conducted in 2013 on the occasion of the anniversary of Indian cinema.

 


She died at the age of 54. She gave Indian cinema beautiful meaning and inspired many. May her soul rest in peace.
