A blend of Hindi and English is offered at UK's College

The Colleges in UK are offering Hinglish as a subject to be taught to people in britain. This had started last year but now the college is planning to offer it to a wider range of students following an interest among students to learn a new language. Hinglish is a blend of hindi and english which has created an interest among the students with a view of placements with Indian companies and that a some basic grasp over the language will give them a good start. Portsmouth College where this course is being offered too is excited by the feedbacks it is getting as many students and adult learners are enquiring about the course for taking it. Hinglish is the fusion of 2 languages that is preferred by Business Sector in India, meaning taking this course would give several international opportunities to the students seeking for Jobs in India, the world's 7th largest . "Films are being watched a lot of Indian people and right from the titles to the script, everything is in Hinglish", Teacher Viraj Shah said. Examples of Bollywood Hinglish Title films like Jab We Met, Ek Tha Tiger, Mere Brother ki Dulhan, Ek Villain,Shhudh Desi Romance or Son of Sardar. James Watters, a department head at the college said, "The course would make them socially aware and better prepared for situations they may be faced with." Hinglish is easier to learn as compared with Hindi. Because it will use Roman letters rather than devnagri script.Some of the Hinglish words that the students were made familiar with include 'prepone' or to bring forward, & 'airdash' or going somewhere in a hurry, and 'timepass' or something that is a pass time.
