Suspicious Suicide Pact kills two brilliant minds

A student commits suicide every hour in India! Shocking isn’t it but its’ true, according to the 2015 data from the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), 40,000 students committed suicide in just 5 years. The figure is growing and unfortunately we sit here idle, helplessly writing about it.

Another news from my side proving the vulnerable state of students, two girls who were writing their CBSE Class 10 exams jumped off from eighth floor of a fourteen storey building. The victims were students of Akshara International School, Byramalguda, named Sravani Kale and Bhargavi Patel.

Sravani Kale was the daughter of Nagendra Kale, a scientist with Research Centre Imarat (RCI) and Bhargavi Patel was the child of Santhi Kumar who is into construction business. Sravani left her residence at Saroornagr for Bhargavi’s place at 3:00 p.m. They were planning for a joint study session, at around 6:30 p.m. they jumped off the TNR Vaishnovi Sikhara apartment in LB Nagar, one after the other. Both were spot dead, a suicide note of Sravani was found in the waste basket where it was written “Dear Ma, Paa.. Sorry,” and “I miss you Teju..”, Teju being her elder brother Teja. There was no suicide note from Bhargavi.

Police are suspecting exam stress as the suicide cause but things are not that clear. Their bodies were handed over to their respective families after the post-mortem at Osmania hospital. A pallor of gloom covered the place, parents and relatives both were shocked. Preliminary investigations said that both the students were brilliant in their studies. A case of suspicious death was lodged by Police under Indian Penal Code section 174.

In yet another tragic case, two students died aiding the statistics of suicide this year.
