Kohli Equals Master Blaster's Records of 17 centuries in successful run chases

After successfully chasing down England’s score of 350 in the first ODI on Sunday, Indian skipper Virat Kohli equalled master blaster Sachin Tendulkar’s record of 17 centuries while chasing. While it took 232 innings for Tendulkar to reach this record, Kohli did it in just 96 innings. Virat’s matching winning 122 against England in the first ODI was his first century as full-time captain of the Indian Cricket Team and 27th overall.

Comparisons with the God of Cricket Sachin Tendulkar pop up every now and then but Kohli made it clear that it will be difficult to achieve numbers such as 100 hundred like Sachin. Kohli mentioned that it would be virtually impossible to achieve what Sachin achieved over his 24-year long years.
