Hurting the Climate? See you in Court

The shocking scene of Trump deciding to walk out of the Paris accord last year may be considered Donald Trump’s way of shoving the climate out of the way and forcing it on the back seat. But the Climate Change is far from over and it is haunting Trump.

Recently a law suit was filed by Centre of Biological Diversity, a non- profit organization of Arizona. The case was filed in the federal court of District of Columbia when US government failed to file the report which the US government is obligated to file every two years according to the Paris Accord.

In the report the government is expected to detail out the greenhouse gas emissions and the steps taken to maintain the goal of keeping the temperature below 2 degrees Celsius or 3.6 degrees Fahrenheit. The CBD Lawyer Jean Su said "This is a critical report that the world needs," to the Thomson Reuters Foundation by phone also according to the lawyer USA filed the last report on 31st December, 2015.

The law suit mentioned that the State department had violated administrative laws and transparency ones as the government couldn’t respond to CBD’s request for information. The CBD requested information about the report on the basis of transparency laws of USA.

The argument that US President, Donald Trump had announced about USA leaving the Paris Accord is not valid, the whole process takes three years so technically speaking USA is still part of the Accords, so the government is liable to file the obligatory report, which should have got filed by 1st January, but that isn’t the case.

The whole episode was another reactionary action of the Green Soldiers who are stark against of Trump’s decision of minimizing America’s responsibility in curbing Greenhouse Effect.
