Ajinkya Rahane slams 5th consecutive ODI Fifty after Sachin, Dravid and Kohli

On Thursday India showed an all-around performance against South Africa in Durban, lead the six-match ODI series by 1-0. The game was on fire because of Ajinkaya Rahane who looked in solid form as he hit 79 runs in 86 balls and became the fourth Indian batsman to score five consecutive half-centuries in ODI.

 

 

Before him, Sachin Tendulkar(1994), Rahul Dravid(2004-05) and Virat Kohli (2012-2013) slammed five consecutive half-centuries. And now Ajinkaya Rahane entered this elite club.

Virat Kohli scored highest 112 runs in 164 balls and declared man of the match. Kohli and Rahane also stitched together a 189-run partnership, a record at Durban for the highest third wicket partnership. India also recorded their first victory against South Africa at Durban since 1992-93.
