DECODING THE TOOTHPASTE COLOUR MARK MYTH

If you are not living deep underground, you must have come across the online-circulated tip and fact either on Whats App messages or on Facebook stating that the colour mark at the end of your toothpaste tube shows its composition and the material that has been used in it.

  • GREEN COLOUR = COMPLETELY NATURAL TOOTHPASTE
  • BLUE COLOUR = NATURAL + MEDICINE
  • RED COLOUR = NATURAL + CHEMICALS
  • BLACK COLOUR = COMPLETELY CHEMICALS

Did you also buy all these claims then be ready to get shocked as all these claims are false and myth

The coloured stripes mark on your toothpastes have nothing to do with its composition.

In reality they are just the part of manufacturing process. These are vestige also termed as colour mark or code mark useful during manufacturing of these toothpastes.

These vestige or the colour marks are read by the light beam sensors in order to be separated and identified uniquely in a very high speed processing machine where these tubes are cut form a specific location and folded.

So next time if someone forwards you the safety tip regarding your toothpastes, you should impart your knowledge to them also and debunk their myth
