Priyanka Chopra all set to terminate contract with Nirav Modi.

Priyanka Chopra the fashion icon was roped in as the ambassador for Nirav Modi's jewellery designer brand last year, she hasn't sued the billionaire but is now taking legal opinions to cancel her deal with the brand. Priyanka Chopra’s spokesperson said that after the 48-year-old emerged as the target of a massive probe into an 11,000 crores scandal they have decided to take legal help.

Her spokesperson revealed in a brief statement that although there are speculative reports doing rounds on media that Priyanka Chopra has sued Nirav Modi, this isn’t true. However she is currently seeking legal opinion on terminating her contract with the brand in light of the allegations of financial fraud against designer Nirav Modi.

Priyanka Chopra who has reached new heights in Hollywood with her hit series Quantico got  associated with the luxury diamond jewellery brand as its brand ambassador from January 2017. 

The banking scandal which involves designer Nirav Modi and his jewellery brand however has led Priyanka Chopra to consider breaking her ties with the brand. 

According to reports, jewellery designer Nirav Modi had left the country on January 1, a fortnight before Punjab National Bank got hold of the cases where its officials had given Nirav Modi's firms credit without proper guarantees and procedures to be follow.

The Enforcement Directorate’s Officials swiftly raided 17 locations across the country to seize jewellery, diamonds and gold worth Rs 5,100 crore that could be used to recoup money that the banks could be on the verge of losing.

This incident however gave the opposition Congress a chance to link the celebrity designer to BJP as well as hold the government responsible for not taking appropriate action against the accused.
