What is IO ??
IO stands for Individual obstacle. As the name specifies, in IO candidate again gets a chance to present his caliber as an individual. In this task candidate has to cross over 10 obstacles placed in series, in a given time constraint. Each obstacle carries marks, the one's which are difficult subsequently carries higher marks and easier one's have lesser marks. Here GTO will watch how you attempt all obstacles and how many of them. IO helps in reflecting the following personality traits of the candidate: -
What to do in IO ??
In IO candidate has to cross over around 10 obstacles placed in series within 3 mins. As you move further from one obstacle to another complexity goes on increasing. The obstacles are not that risky in nature but are challenging one. Following are the different type of obstacles : -
Swinging on ropes.
Jump to a ditch from a risen platform.
Jumping over some vertical barrier.
Climbing a wall.
Walk over a nylon net.
Walking over a belly.
Walking over a beam.
Climbing through a vertical rope.
Coming down through a vertical rope.
Time Duration is 3 mins.
If candidate completes the entire task once, he can repeat the obstacles again till the time is over. For this he is awarded more than maximum marks to the extent of repetition of obstacles.
Adhere to the instructions given by GTO.
Be Bold as this is an endurance test.
Do not hesitate to do the task as it shows lack of courage.
Those who try are the one's who get successful in life. Therefore you must attempt all the obstacles irrespective you succeed or not.
If you are not able to complete all the obstacles then do not get upset.
Concentrate on your task and give your 100%.
