EFFECTIVE INTELLIGENCE

                          WHETHER A CANDIDATE IS ABLE TO DESCRIBE THE PROBLEM OR NOT?
                      IS HE ABLE TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM WITHIN THE ALLOTED TIME OR NOT?

EFFECTIVE INTELLIGENCE: During the SSB, a candidate is expected to show high amount of effective intelligence in order to solve the problems. In order to succeed, he must show more of his practical intelligence than his acquired theoretical knowledge.

Effective Intelligence shows a candidate's ability to solve practical problems. Effective intelligence is something which is acquired by experience and is spontaneous. For e.g. : Consider a person who is courageous, he gets entangled in a problematic situation then definitely he will respond to it intelligently and his effective intelligence will make him stand upright & firm to face the problem with courage. This is what we cal effective intelligence. Effective intelligence can be, both in THEORETICAL + PRACTICAL terms. This effective intelligence in assessed in every part of the SSB, right from the screening test to psychology then to interview and finally to GTO.
